Post Spatial, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates Post (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our location-anchored augmented reality and messaging platform.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information directly from you, automatically through your device, and via third-party integrations.

  • Account Information: When you register to post content, we collect your name, username, email address, password hash, and optional profile details (e.g., avatar, bio).
  • Precise Geolocation Data: To anchor digital images and messages to physical coordinates and display nearby content through your camera feed, we collect real-time, precise GPS coordinates, compass headings, and altitude when the App is actively in use.
  • Camera & Sensor Data: With your explicit permission, the App accesses your device camera and spatial tracking sensors (e.g., ARKit/ARCore data) to render digital imprints in your environment. We do not record, store, or transmit your live camera feed to our servers.
  • User Content: Digital images, text messages, icons, timestamps, and the exact spatial coordinates where you anchor them.
  • Device & Log Data: IP address, device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, crash logs, and interaction timestamps.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data for the following operational purposes:

  • To authenticate your identity and allow you to pin images, icons, and messages to physical locations.
  • To query and display digital content pinned by other users within your immediate geographic vicinity.
  • To calibrate and render augmented reality objects accurately against physical surfaces.
  • To moderate user-submitted content, prevent abusive behavior, and ensure real-world user safety.
  • To maintain, diagnose, optimize, and improve platform infrastructure.

3. How Information Is Shared

  • Publicly Visible Content: Any message, image, or imprint you post is tied to public geographic coordinates and visible to any nearby user using the App. Your public username or profile may appear alongside the content you create.
  • Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted third-party vendors who assist with cloud hosting, database management, mapping APIs, and error monitoring under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Compliance & Safety: We may disclose data if required by valid legal process (subpoena, warrant) or to protect the safety of users, property owners, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: If the company undergoes a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user data may be transferred as a business asset.

4. Data Storage and Retention

  • Content Retention: User Content and corresponding spatial coordinates remain pinned until deleted by the author or removed by our moderation team.
  • Location Logs: Ephemeral GPS lookup logs used solely to fetch nearby pins are purged or anonymized on rolling cycles.
  • Account Deletion: You may request complete account and data deletion at any time via in-app settings or by contacting report@get-post.co.

5. Device Permissions & User Controls

You have direct control over what data your device shares with the App:

  • Location Permissions: You can toggle location access between "Never," "Ask Next Time," or "While Using App" via your device settings. Disabling location will restrict the App's core discovery and posting functions.
  • Camera Access: You can revoke camera permissions at any time; however, camera access is required to view and place AR objects.
  • Content Management: You can edit or delete content you have pinned directly within the App interface.

6. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information or precise location data from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account, we will promptly delete the account and associated location data.

7. Regional Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA & GDPR)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have specific statutory privacy rights:

  • Right to Access & Portability: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request permanent deletion of your account and pinned content.
  • No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell or share your personal information or location data with third-party data brokers or advertisers.
